AREMT has developed organisational and managerial
policies,which ensure that high professional standards
are maintained in the marketing and delivery of
continuing education,in association with our training
providers,which safeguard the professional development
and welfare of participants.
To ensure appropriate training AREMT works to:
*develop,extend and improve learning opportunities for
people working in EMR situations in all
regions,localities and for the needs of South East Asian
EMTs.
*maintain approved quality management practices
*implement plans for R@D to identify continuing
education needs
*identify continuing education training areas
Marketing:

AREMT endeavours to market continuing education training
and training resources with integrity,accuracy and
professionalism,in accordance with AREMT continuing
education requirements for registration.
Training Information:
--------------------
Accurate information will be provided to registration
applicants prior to application which clearly
establishes;
*fees and registration
*admission criteria and procedures for appropriate EMT
levels
*refund policy
*certification to be issued on successful completion of
CEU training
*arrangements for recognition of RPL
*appeals and grievances
*participant support services
*proposed outcomes to be achieved by EMTs for continuing
education levels
Recruitment:
-----------
Registration of applicants involved in AREMT CEU
training programmes will be conducted in an ethical and
responsible manner.Appropriately qualified staff will
assess the extent to which the stated competencies and
outcomes of CEUs are likely to be achieved by
applicants,given their qualifications,proficiency and
aspirations.
Refund Policy:
-------------
AREMTs refund policy contains guidelines for
guaranteeing the refund of fees to participants should
AREMT or its training providers for any reason,or should
a participant withdraw from a program for a reasonable
cause.The following summarises:
*fees are payable before CEU commencement with the
exception of account customers(prior approval)
*cancellation and transfer of CEU courses will be
accepted if advice is received no later than 5 working
days prior to CEU commencement.A refund will be issued
less 15% administration fee.No refund will be given for
cancellations received after this period.
*applicants may elect to have an alternative person at
no extra cost
*AREMT may cancell or postpone CEU courses with
insufficient applicants.
*should any CEU course be cancelled by AREMT all fees
will be refunded.
*For this code of practice,AREMT refers to the
Australasian Registry of Emergency Medical
Technicians,CEUs refer to continuing education units.
